Ambrosia’s little note:

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! Last week ended up being a sad one here in Purple Booker Land. Our sweet Sassy very suddenly crossed the rainbow bridge. It was out of nowhere, but we are taking solace in the fact that it was quick and painless. Doesn’t help as much as we wish it would though. Her brother McCoy is taking it pretty hard,so he is getting a lot of extra attention. Sorry for my little note being such a bummer today, but at the moment my head is stuck in bummer land. Maybe the teaser can offer a bit of a pick me up…..

Ambrosia’s little note:

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! Welcome March and welcome to the first Teaser Tuesday of the month. I love March, there is just something special about the month for me. Usually saw some thawing just around the corner back in MN and now in AZ the whether is moderate and comfortable, before the heat. I am also a big ole St. Patrick’s day celebrator, but I am not a drinker on the day. I just enjoy celebrating my Irish heritage a lot. Been doing pretty good working on more balance in my activities as I set out to do this year. I still eedto work on it a bit more, but aren’t we all working on something? Now onto the Teaser…

Book Review: The Passionate Brood by Margaret Campbell Barnes

LON

The private lives of the Plantagenet’s, that ‘passionate brood‘ who were the children of Henry the Second and Eleanor of Aquitaine, Richard and Johanna, Henry and John.

Margaret Campbell Barnes explores the Crusader King’s triumphs and tragedies in a compelling novel of love, loyalty, and lost chances. The fierce Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine birthed a Plantagenet dynasty before her marriage to Henry II became a mockery, and her family’s future hinges on Richard. With a  persistent link  you always see the Lionheart in folklore with Robin Hood. Portrayed here as Richard’s foster brother and conscience, who so enraged the King that he is banished. The Passionate Brood is a tale of a man driven to win back the Holy Land, beset by the guilt of casting out his childhood friend, and shouldering the burden of being the lionhearted leader of the Plantagenet’s.

Ambrosia’s little note:

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! I hope your week has started off well. I have been pretty happy over the last week as it seems we’ve finally gotten a good hold on dealing with Callisto (one of my rescue kitties) reoccurring calcivirus and the stomatitis (bad mouth ulcers) is brings along. Lots of cats with stomatitis end up having most or all of their teeth removed, and while this might be something that happens in the future Callisto’s teeth are still in good condition. She is also an extremely fussy eater and will not touch any form of wet food, or human or baby. Thanks to my usual L-Lysine add in to the pet water and a new dental additive I found and approved with the vet, she has been making huge progress. I am one happy mama about that. Now onto the Teaser…

Ambrosia’s little note:

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! I hope last week was a good one, and those who had long weekends enjoyed them. My week last week was pretty busy, couple of Doctors appointments and a bunch of other things that kept me jumping. And in the words of the internet meme…..sort of….. my body was not ready. LOL. The bright side is I taught myself a new crafty skill, loom knitting and have already made 7 new hats for my #RaspberryCrochet project for handing out warm items to the homeless. It is starting to be warmer time here in Tucson, but I can mail a box to my Mom in MN since it will be cold there for a while yet. Alternatively, I can just call them the start to next winters stash. And now…onto the teaser!

Ambrosia’s little note:

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! Almost Valentines day, then we can start decorating for Saint Patrick’s day right? LOL. I’m not big on Valentines day (so much pink everywhere), but I understand why others enjoy it. Last week was pretty busy, and my fibro reared its head, which is never fun), but it was overall a good week. This week is starting out a little rough, but the bonus side is I should have a bit more time to read, so huzzah for that silver lining. So now without further ado, this weeks teaser.

Ambrosia’s little note:

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! It is February and I hope everyone’s new week and new month has started off well. I had another week of not much time for reading last week (what can ya do eh?), but it was still a productive week. Got ahead on my work things that needed to be done. Moreover, I managed to get 21 hats, 14 ear warmers, 4 messy bun beanies, 9 infinity scarf/cowls, 1 oversized cowl/shrug and 1 hood & scarf combo (all hand crocheted) packaged up and handed out to the local homeless. Temperatures are going to be quite chilly here at  night the next few days, so wanted to get the last of what I had in my stocks out to the streets. I plan on spending spring, summer and fall adding to my stores for next winter, along with all my usual stuff. I have long had a passion for helping where I could, and knowing I can always whip something up for my passion project (now dubbed #RaspberryCrochet heh) helps me to get less stressed about my insomnia, which ends up helping me sleep better. Alright I have rambled on long enough…here comes the Teaser…

Ambrosia’s little note:

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! Didn’t get much read last week, but I am okay with that because I got a lot of other things that I needed to do done. I am once again having one of those moments of seeing how many hard copy books I still have as I have been unpacking them, LOL. Like many I enjoy my kindle, but I still love the feeling of holding a book. I hope everyone else had a good week last week, and without further ado here is this weeks Teaser…
