I ended up getting distracted last week by an Audio book of Sherlock Holmes and can admit I am being to lazy to transcribe a quote from it. LOL sorry. I am still reading The Time Machine though so another quote from that won’t be terrible right?

“It sounds plausible enough tonight, but wait until tomorrow. Wait for the common sense of the morning.”
― H.G. Wells, The Time Machine

It would seem my last few book selections have been a little..on the dark side, lol This one seems to fall into that category as well but I was very excited when I was approved for this title on NetGalley.

Everyone wanted to touch us,including you. So remember the seven places you touched me. That’s where you’ll find the truth. Start at the beginning in my words. Ben wiped sweat from his eyes. Mira had left him something. Mira had left him her words. Letters, notes, something. Where?” ~ 3% Beautiful Broken Girls by Kim Savage

Happy Valentine’s Day…I am sure there is something to be said about my quote this week considering the day lol

“Whorls of red light played over its chest and four arms, slowly shifting to blue and back. In the upper pair of hands it held a spear. The shaft was eight feet long, but such was the modalman’s stature it was a short weapon to him. Rel stared, mute, paralyzed by anticipation of the worst. He could not fight this thing.” ~ The City of Ice by K.M McKinley pg 20

Poor ole Mozart didn’t get any love like I planned this week thanks to work, lol. The good news is I get to share another teaser from this book so that could interest even more people. It really is not the books fault I have been dilly dallying, lol.

My sister in law appeared in the glass. She stood in the doorway in  black woolen shawl and a loose black dress that gathered beneath her breasts. Her mouth gaped, and her bright teeth made her look ravenous and despairing. In her hands she held a short jacket she had been unraveling so that the wool might be reused.
