As I am going off to England again next month..I am still in full England everything mode. So this weeks teaser is one of the books I haven’t finished yet..this trip is why I have been up to my elbows in glue, lol.

Musing Monday 4/16/18

Musing Mondays is a weekly meme that asks you to choose one of the following prompts to answer:

I’m currently reading…
Up next I think I’ll read…
I bought the following book(s) in the past week…
I’m super excited to tell you about (book/author/bookish-news)…
I’m really upset by (book/author/bookish-news)…
I can’t wait to get a copy of…
I wish I could read ___, but…
I blogged about ____ this past week…

Random Question: If you couldn’t read anymore what would you do?

I know that there are other-ways to read other then traditionally just reading the words, but I think most of us in the book blog world read rather traditionally. What do you think you would do if all of a sudden you couldn’t do that anymore? I know I would have a nice big meltdown to start. Then once I was done with that I would probably start working on trying to find more narrators and readers that I like for audio books. I would have to learn to be less fussy about that.

Today’s teaser is from my phone so I hope it posts for you guys. I’m also using a quote photo vs a book one as my silly self doesn’t have my book with either. Sorry!

Random Question: Series or stand alone which do you prefer?

This was a random question a friend asked me the other day when he noticed I have been reading more series books lately. When I have time to read that is, I am still so bad right now about finding the balance in my schedule. Anyways, I don’t pick series books over others on purpose or what seems to be on purpose for me but I do seem to be reading more. I enjoy the feeling of spending time with old friends and stories. There is something uniquely special when you get to get to know characters over the course of a series, especially if it is a long series.

I just want to note here along with on the Musing Monday post that I just went over the last Musing Monday and I noticed the question really wasn’t put very clearly. I am sorry about that. Between being sick and prepping for my huge trip in May I have just been all over the place with my brain and I am ending up very scattered. So enough of that on to the book!

I just noticed the last Musing Monday question was very poorly phrased. I as on Nyquil when I did it, sorry about that everyone.

Random Question: How to you pick what to bring with you for reading on a Holiday/Vacaction?

Choosing something to take with me on a vacation used to be a horrible experience for me, lol. When I was a kid I can remember being in tears because I could only take one or two books with us to the lake. Sometimes my parents took pity on me and put some more of my choices in their luggage, lol. It was a hard thing too even as I was older, especially when I was packed out on horse back trips. Lots of reading could be done but can’t bog down your gear. I know a few times I chose to bring a second book instead of a hairbrush, lol. Thankfully NOW we have devices that are tiny and can happily supply our whole library with us. I usually end up bringing a packup paperback though in case my device runs out of battery and I can’t charge, lol. How about you?

“You call yourself a free spirit, a “wild thing,” and you’re terrified somebody’s gonna stick you in a cage. Well baby, you’re already in that cage. You built it yourself. And it’s not bounded in the west by Tulip, Texas, or in the east by Somali-land. It’s wherever you go. Because no matter where you run, you just end up running into yourself.”- Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Truman Capote

Comedy of errors I tell you. My quote is the same this week as last because I have been having some issues getting my laptop to load so I am posting this mobile. I haven’t had a chance to grab my read and I hope this goes through from my phone! I tell ya it’s like a series of unfortunate events here lately 😂

Random Question: Do you ever get frustrate with how long a book is taking?

As readers I am sure we have all come across the instance of waiting for a favorite Author to put out a new book especially if it is part of a series. I mean we all know how long George RR Martin is taking but I am actually okay with that. It is Jim Butcher who is driving me up the wall. We have had the book title for like two years now. Its maddening to say the least. So how about you?

Alas I am a bit late again today like last week, sorry about that. I know some were confused about my comment about slime, LOL. It really can be a bit of a comedy sometimes. I know some may not understand it but I find it a fantastic fun art form and it has been a great way to do more things beside crochet, although I of course am still crocheting more and more. I have even free handed some tops recently! That is big for me. I need to stop for getting to get my kindle charged when I am about to settle in for office work so it can read to me. Even if it gets names wrong lol.
