Welcome to Teaser Tuesday, the weekly Meme that wants you to add books to your TBR, or just share what you are currently reading. It is very easy to play along:

• Grab your current read</http://thepurplebooker.com/wp-admin/themes.phpem>
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday.

I couldn’t settle one just one teaser this week. I have a lot going on in my mind lately and these seemed to really resound as I settled in to try and pick a teaser. So I have decided to share both of them this week.

“Arriving late was a way of saying that your own time was more valuable than the time of the person who waited for you.” ~ The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler

  8. Oh very true! Thanks for sharing

Here’s the teaser at Bookmunchies (:

  9. Probably true a lot of the time however as someone who is always late it can also say that I’m a totally disorganised person whose head is in the clouds.

    Here’s my teaser https://iwuvbooks.wordpress.com/2017/10/17/teaser-tuesday-17th-october-2017/

  10. Alice Audrey says:

Both? Wait, am I missing something?

The time thing is why I broke up with a boyfriend. He seemed to think half an hour to an hour of my time meant nothing.

    My teaser: http://www.aliceaudrey.com/?p=15311

  11. Tracy says:

I loved this movie but haven’t read the book. Hope you’re enjoying it! My teaser is from Aaru.

  12. Gilion Dumas says:

I read that book and enjoyed it quite a lot.

My teaser is from My Kitchen Year by Ruth Reichl: http://www.rosecityreader.com/2017/10/teaser-tuesday-my-kitchen-year-by-ruth.html

  13. I hate being late for anything, as I think it is the height of bad manners and is a trait that I don’t like in others either.

It particularly rankles when it as an appointment such as the dentist, where I am paying for a service. If I was to be so much as 5 minutes late they will charge me for half an hour of their time, whereas if they keep me waiting by anything up to 10 minutes … That’s Okay??

This week I am sharing lines from this excellent psychological thriller ‘Last Witness’ by Carys Jones and totally enjoying the thrill of the chase so far 🙂

Thanks for sharing and hosting and Happy Reading

I couldn’t agree more with that quote! Sadly both my children run late and I seem to have spent years of my life waiting for them or driving like a madwoman to catch trains… My TT is a tricky read –

  16. That is very, very true! And awful, too! Great teaser! Here’s mine from A Promise of Fire by Amanda Bouchet:
