Teaser Tuesday 8/11/20

Teaser Tuesday Time

Welcome to Teaser Tuesday, the weekly Meme that wants you to add books to your TBR! You can also just share what you are currently reading. We make it very easy to play along, it is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

1: Grab your current read
2: Open to a random page
3: Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday.

Ambrosia’s little note:

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! As always I hope your week so far is going well and that last week went well too. Had some adventures here for sure. AC broke twice…when it’s been 110 out. Let me tell you, I had lot’s of furry friends in my room, as it was the only one with a portable AC at least keeping it tolerable. The good news is, the crane was able to come yesterday to take down he old unit and put up a new one. Huzzah for ice cold AC again, lol. So since I am not melting lets get to the teaser.

“I should have known something was wrong when my advisor’s parting words were Good luck. To his credit, he had—very gently—suggested that I might want to consider a different sort of topic. But I didn’t want to consider another topic. I was madly in love with my topic: “Aristocratic Espionage during the Wars with France, 1789- 1815.” It had dash, it had swash, it had buckle.”

  1. Lauren is an author I have heard so much about, but I have yet to read any of her books.

Historical mystery/romance is a genre I do enjoy from time to time, so this is a series definitely worth considering, especially as they are promoted as stand alone stories, which is even better!

My teaser lines this week are taken from an intriguing book which is a mix of history, mystery and a little fantasy magic …

  2. Hi! I have to admit this is the first time I have been able to find where to comment – i am such a clutz! LOL So I may look new, but I have actually been playing Teaser Tuesday for quite some time! …

Your book choice sounds great, and I’d definitely like to read that. Especially as it includes a little ‘fantasty magic’.

Today I am featuring ‘Maisey Yates’ and her latest two books, with an interview too!

    Have a great day.

    1. Whoops. I’m sorry you had a hard time finding the comments. Welcome to playing in the comment section!
