Welcome to Teaser Tuesday, the weekly Meme that wants you to add books to your TBR! You can also just share what you are currently reading. We make it very easy to play along, it is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
1: Grab your current read
2: Open to a random page
3: Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday.
Ambrosia’s little note:
I want to thank everyone who participated last week and for the kind comments about the new look of the blog. It’s been kinda fun to revamp things a bit. .
I do want to note one thing about when you don’t see your comment come up right away. I have software that looks for spam comments and will automatically put them in Spam. Sometimes the software isn’t sure about a comment so it will place it into the pending spot, which means I have to manually go through and approve it or mark it as spam. This pending spot is where posts that don’t appear right away are. I check in as much as I can to approve as fast as I can, but somedays I can’t be glued to my computer. Trust me if I didn’t have this spam software on, there would be thousands of pointless comments weighing down the blog.
Go on then Ambrosia we want the teaser!
“He had fallen in love with this wild, beautiful country and everything it contained. It was the kind of love people dream of having with other people: selfless and free of doubt, reverent and everlasting.”
― Michael Blake, Dances with Wolves
A fun little note about my book this week as I revisit some of my old favorite books that linked into some of my favorite movies. I was lucky enough to meet the horse who played Cisco in Dances with Wolves! His real name was Buck and he lived to be a very respectable 33 years old. He spent most of his years after Dances with Wolves in a tourist spot in South Dakota called 1880 town. It has a bunch of the memorabilia from the film and had “Cisco” and two of the mules from the film as well.
Sure it is a little tourist trap but it is also cheesy fun, not that I am writing a full review about it or anything, LOL it has been a long time since I was there. Maybe I will have to make another trip soon and let my Gypsy heart enjoy the cheesy again. For me the big draw was getting to meet “Cisco” as I always wanted a horse like him. He was very well cared for and even got to move to warmer climate when the cold of the winter hit in South Dakota. Not to shabby I would say.
Nice teaser! Mine is from a biography this week: Becoming Dr. Seuss by Brian Jay Jones My Teaser
I haven’t thought about 1880 town in eons! At least, I’m FAIRLY certain it’s the same place I’m thinking of 🙂
Mine this week is from the latest (released today) regency romance from Erica Taylor :
