Welcome to Teaser Tuesday, the weekly Meme that wants you to add books to your TBR! You can also just share what you are currently reading. We make it very easy to play along, it is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
1: Grab your current read
2: Open to a random page
3: Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday.
Ambrosia’s little note:
Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! Hope you are all doing well. I have to say my goodness about all the typos last week. Had on some longer fake nails on and wasn’t watching as close as I should have. I finished the first of two monster crochet gifts over the weekend, and boy did I feel accomplished about it. Now I am slacking about going back to work on the second one. It’s about 1/4 of the way done. Looking at the second one though, I just kind of don’t want to crochet. I haven’t had the feeling in a long time, but I know it will pass. In the meantime maybe I can catch up on my reading…so here comes the teaser!
His hand jerked away, and we both sprang to our feel ( I can’t say how French felt, but I got up feeling as though the First XV gang had tackled me, brushing off our clothes and looking everywhere but each other. He stooped to pry the candle from it’s bed of wax, and when he faced me, he’d resumed his mask of indifferent politeness. ~ India Black and the Widow of Windsor (Madam of Espionage #2) by Carol K. Carr
I think that everything is so strange and surreal right now, that I don’t feel the same for an hour at a time, let alone a whole day! Concentration and motivation went out the window a long time ago and projects I was going to get stuck into during lockdown, are sat in a pile, untouched!
Your ‘Madam Of Espionage’ series looks like something a bit different to the norm, maybe not my usual reading, but intriguing nonetheless!
My teaser lines this week come from ‘The Interpreter From Java’ by Alfred Birney

Here’s my Tuesday Post
We are definitely living in strange times. Hang in there! Here’s my teaser: “THE LAST HOUSE GUEST”
Mine this week is from a new (to me) Veronica Roth: https://pdworkman.com/booklink/1198053
Interesting teaser. That’s not an author I’m familiar with. My Teaser this week comes from The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton https://razzberrycoloredglasses.blogspot.com/2020/05/teaser-tuesday-7-12-deaths-of-evelyn.html
Hi,
Your teaser is good, now I want to read this book. I’ll have to see
if my library….when they open again…has it. Have a great day!

Hope your crochet muse comes back. I’m working on a few crochet projects myself but I’m having a hard time finding the motivation.

Long nails! On my own hands, I can’t stand having the nail to be more than a quarter inch out, it just feels so weird and bendy and urgh. And that teaser, sounds like something embarrassing or revealing is being covered up! Intriguing! Here’s my teaser from Through the White Wood by Jessica Leake: https://writingcrazyme.blogspot.com/2020/05/teaser-tuesday-475-may-19th.html
