Welcome to Teaser Tuesday, the weekly Meme that wants you to add books to your TBR, or just share what you are currently reading. It is very easy to play along:
• Grab your current read</http://thepurplebooker.com/wp-admin/themes.phpem>
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday.
I am very sorry about not posting Musing Monday yesterday. I have hit the super duper busy time for my little business and have been working my tail off. My crochet hooks are on fire *lol* and I am just going into launching a big new slime collection so no rest for the wicked!
“I have always been a reader; I have read at every stage of my life, and there has never been a time when reading was not my greatest joy. And yet I cannot pretend that the reading I have done in my adult years matches in its impact on my soul the reading I did as a child. I still believe in stories. I still forget myself when I am in the middle of a good book. Yet it is not the same. Books are, for me, it must be said, the most important thing; what I cannot forget is that there was a time when they were at once more banal and more essential than that. When I was a child, books were everything. And so there is in me, always, a nostalgic yearning for the lost pleasure of books. It is not a yearning that one ever expects to be fulfilled.”― Diane Setterfield, The Thirteenth Tale
I loved this book. Hope you enjoy.
My post is Here
I too loved that book!
I’m playing today at Beth Fish Reads.
Such great words here! I love quotes about reading!
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Sigh, this rings so true.
My teaser is from Timeless: Diego and the Rangers of the Vastlantic by Armand Baltazar.
Aw, I know that feeling well. Books were always important to me, but definitely helped me when I was a kid.
Here’s my teaser this week: https://lifewithnoplot.wordpress.com/2017/11/14/top-ten-tuesday-november-14-2017/
Agreed! Books are amazing, and so is reading! Books as a child are just a little bit more special! Here’s my teaser from Born of Illusion by Teri Brown:

This quote is absolutely fabulous and very much echoes my own relationship with books as a child. They were often my lifeline:) My TT today is an epic fantasy with a difference – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2017/11/14/teaser-tuesday-14th-november-2017/
I can so relate to the quote!
My TT from Passing Strange
Very interesting teaser! Here’s my TT/Intro for this week: http://bit.ly/2zC0ztK

My teaser this week from James Patterson: https://wp.me/p3Nz8P-1GD
Great teaser. I too find myself getting lost in the story and sometimes I forget that I’m not really there in the scene.

Wow, what a beautiful passage! That feels so true for me. There’s an innocence about reading that you lose as an adult, but that hasn’t stopped me yet!
Here’s my TT for today!
Here’s my teaser
Good one! Here’s mine: “WONDER VALLEY”
This is on my TBR list!
Here is my teaser from Two Kinds of Truth by Michael Connelly.
Great teaser. I have read this book but you make me want to read it again. This week I am showcasing Heartstone by Elle Katherine White. Happy reading!
Great teaser! Mine is from Paradox Bound by Peter Clines http://razzberrycoloredglasses.blogspot.com/2017/11/teaser-tuesday-paradox-bound-by-peter.html
I love those teaser lines, they sum up exactly the way things are for me right now. I really want to connect with the volume of reading I managed to pack in as a child, but adult life somehow seems so much more complicated and time consuming, so I end up totally frustrated with my pathetic few minutes reading sessions here and there!
I have had this book sat on my virtual Kindle shelf for months now, but you have intrigued me enough to want to read it very soon.
I am sharing teaser lines from the new book by one of my regular contact authors, Stan Schatt. Stan is a successful writer across a multiplicity of genres and this time he has turned his hand to the world of the cozy mystery and so far things are shaping up well.
