Musing Monday is hosted over at Should Be Reading.
Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…
• Describe one of your reading habits.
• Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s).
• Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it.
• Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us!
• Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!
I actually have a question this week. For those who have pets, how do you read around them? Cats especially….mine love to sit on me or my book while I am trying to read. So what do you do?
I have a 19 year old cat who simply does not take “no” for an answer, so I have to read around her. She doesn’t try to sit on my books or anything, but I guess that she and I have known each other long enough that we can compromise. Most of the time. 🙂 I just encourage her into a position that doesn’t conflict too much with my book as often as possible.

I have snakes and birds and they love to sit right on the page I’m reading. Especially the snakes. LOL

Often I will lie on my side and read in bed and our dog is of the habit of laying along my hip / leg or if it gets really cheeky trying to crawl under the doona with me. Here’s my MM: http://daystarz.wordpress.com/2014/07/14/musing-mondays-19/
