Welcome to Teaser Tuesday, the weekly Meme that wants you to add books to your TBR, or just share what you are currently reading. It is very easy to play along:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday.
I hope everyone is having a good week. I am all tucked back into being back in my Home state for a visit. It has been a bit up and down, but there is always a book to lift one’s spirits. I treated myself to a small bit of shopping at good ole Half Price books, seems I have rather missed particularular used book shop.
“Before, I was brazen, life was a new frontier waiting to be conquered. I had high hopes for this adventure called freedom. Almost the way you feel when you get your first apartment and you tell your parents “so long.” The high comes crashing down as soon as you realize there’s nobody around to scold or reward. With it comes the realization that the people you were so desperately trying to get away from are the ones who gave you definition and character, a daughter, a friend, a sister.”
― Trisha R. Thomas, Nappily Ever After
Great teaser. So true of so many people.
Mine this week is from a psychological thriller by Lisa Scottoline. A must-read! https://wp.me/p3Nz8P-2GO
That one sounds very true. Thank you for sharing.
I’m teasing from Hank Green’s debut An Absolutely Remarkable Thing.
I remember that feeling when I first left home. I was so anxious to get away, and then just ended up feeling lost. Everyone has to grow up though, I suppose.
Here’s my teaser. Have a great week!

That is an intriguing teaser. I haven’t heard of the book. This week I am featuring A Knife in the Fog by Bradley Harper – a historical mystery from my review stack. Happy reading!
It’s the flip side of freedom alright. A chance to redefine yourself.

I remember those feelings! Here’s mine: “I KNOW YOU KNOW”
Oh yes, true of myself and now my kids.
Here’s my teaser
Great teaser from a book with a great title!
Mine is from Valley of Genius, a new history of Silicon Valley by Adam Fisher: https://www.rosecityreader.com/2018/09/teaser-tuesday-valley-of-genius-by-adam.html
I’m not familiar with this author, but will definitely check out this book on Goodreads! I really like the nostalgic, bittersweet tone of this teaser. I know just exactly how the narrator feels. I think most of us do!
Thanks for sharing, and have a nice day! <3 🙂

What an amazing teaser! I definitely want to get my hands on this one. I’m still on my “why didn’t I realize sooner that Julia Quinn is amazing?!?” kick with her The Girl With the Make-Believe Husband : http://wellreadpiratequeen.blogspot.com/2018/09/the-girl-with-make-believe-husband-by.html
Yeah, that’s a kinda terrifying moment! Great teaser! Here’s mine from Good and Gone by Megan Frazer Blakemore: http://writingcrazyme.blogspot.com/2018/09/teaser-tuesday-389-september-25th.html
