Ambrosia’s little note:
Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! Another week and here it is almost July! I am honestly happy this year is moving by at a decent pace (feels like it anyways). I think we can all use a fresh sweep after the way 2020 has been hitting us. My week started off pretty well. Monday dinner was a test at making a sandwich only described in the Dresden files. Anyone who has read about the Mac’s Pub sandwich has to know why I tested it out. First go wasn’t perfect but it was super tasty! Onto the teaser…
When they reached the copse and church, Minuette allowed Dominic to help her down, but she kept her chin lifted and did not speak all the while he helped her prepare. Shaking out a tapestried coverlet on the grass, unpacking the saddlebags filled with food, tethering the horses. Fidelis watched it all with supreme indifference, as though he caught and mirrored his Mistress’s every mood. ~ The Boleyn Deceit by Laura Andersen
So many of us have been trying something new during lockdown and so long as you enjoyed the result and it was tasty, who cares too much if it didn’t use identical ingredients and maybe didn’t look exactly the same when it was finished 🙂
I am a fan of Philippa Gregory’s writing, so I am wondering if this one is going to try and compete for my attention, and maybe not quite make it! Still, healthy competition never hurt anyone, so I shall definitely consider it, as I really enjoyed those teaser lines you shared 🙂
My teasers this week come from book #9 in an excellent detective series I have been following, ‘Turn To Dust’ by Rachel Amphlett. My review is scheduled for July 16th, but I can let you know now, that it was well worth 4 out of 5 stars from me!

It was tasty and I am super happy about it. LOL. This book was…. meh over all to me. LOL The first one was great, this one was meh. I will probably read the final installment because I do want to know what plays out…and maybe the third one will be great. I love Philippa Gregory too.
Nice teaser!
Here’s my Tuesday post
Great excerpt! Thanks for sharing, and for hosting. Here’s mine: “THE GIRL FROM WIDOW HILLS”
I love the Dresden files!
Mine this week is from The Hate U Give. I’m sorry it took me so long to get to this book. https://pdworkman.com/booklink/1312101
This year has been going by so fast to me. I can’t believe that July is almost here!

Hope the 2nd half of 2020 is equal good as the first was bad, the world deserves it! And I just finished book 4 in the Dresden Files, so I can’t wait to discover this sandwich! Well, that teaser sounds like there’s a lot of tension between the two of them! Here’s my teaser from Dorothy Must Die:

My trial of the Mac’s sandwich went really well. I am going to be trying a second version probably this coming week. Book 4…ooo a goodie.
It’s hard to believe half the year is over already. I hope the second half is much better than the first.
Here’s my teaser…
