Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone. Thank you for keeping my Sammie in your thoughts. She came through the surgery with flying colors. The vet was very happy with the procedure and her entire team day and night fell in love with her. Every single person I spoke with could not say enough how sweet she was. She started eating was soon as they offered her some food in recovery. She did everything they asked her like a champ. We were able to visit her later in the day on Christmas Eve and she was in good spirits. She got to come home on Christmas Day. It was not the Christmas I expected but it was a fantastic Christmas anyways because she was home with us. She has continued to recover very well here at home. She hates the cone of shame but wears it when I am at work (when I am home she just wears her surgery suit) and most of all she hates that she can’t rough house or run with her brother. She also is not a fan of the rice in the bland diet. Here is hoping New years Eve is much less adventurous for us, LOL.

And . . . you named your dog Spot?” “Who’s a good dog?” Hades said, scratching the third head behind the ears, and making the beast’s mouth drop open in a doggy grin. “Spot is. Yes, he is.”

So glad to hear that Sammie is doing well! I can just imagine her in the Cone of Shame! Our older dog hated it but had to have it on occasionally from a procedure or if he was agitating heat sores. He would share his disappointment by whacking us in the shins with his cone. I swear he knew what he was doing! Lol.
Nice teaser! That is too funny! I’m just imagining a big grumpy Hades getting all soft for his dog! Lol.
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Oh yeah if I don’t take it off fast enough when I get home she gets me in the back of the knees with it! She knows exactly what she is doing too LOL. Thankfully after sending some pictures of her incision to the ER staff (they have been so sweet asking how she is doing etc) they said she can be left in just her surgery suit even when not supervised by Friday. She then has a follow up with our regular vet next Wens where she will hopefully be cleared to just be “naked” and able to rough house as usual. No suture removal so that’s good. Just want a vet to give the all clear on the healing since its such a big incision compared to her spay one. Told her not to worry that warriors have scars and she is a warrior. At least she is happier with her food as of today, we have started to transition back to her normal diet she should be 100% back to the regular diet on Friday too.
Yeah that the surgery went well, she sounds like a good girl! It brings back memories of my good girl, she was scared of the cone of shame, especially when her brother had to wear it, and he had a few surgeries in in time. I’m glad that she got to come home for Christmas, and I hope the new year is lovely! And oh, that’s a hilarious teaser, Dresden is such a great narrator!
