Musing Monday is hosted over at Should Be Reading.
Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…
• Describe one of your reading habits.
• Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s).
• Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it.
• Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us!
• Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!
What do you do after an emotional read? Do you dive into another big deep read or do you settle for some fluff? I just finished a big one and while I have two lined up as my currently reading books one is deeper and one is decidedly more fluffy, and I am a bit torn on which one to go with next.
I definitely move toward the lighter reads…I can only handle so much intensity! lol
I do the same with alternating between romance and mysteries, or literary fiction and chick lit.
Here’s MY MUSING MONDAYS POST
I think whatever the last read is, I like to change it up a bit on the next one.
I think I would go with the fluff to revitalize after an emotional read.

i’d move to a lighter one i guess .. at some point a book becomes so emotionally exhausting that it can distract you from the story or you just become so “tired” of reading.

Definitely move onto a lighter read. I’ve just finished an intense suspense now I’m reading a book about a veterinarian and his animal friends. Here’s my MM: https://daystarz.wordpress.com/2013/06/24/musing-mondays-ah-the-suspense/
