Ambrosia’s little note:

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone. Well we officially have some beef at the dog park, not anything I started. There is however a clan that started coming recently and its started causing some issues. One of the kids who “loves dogs” (and I am sure he does) likes to run around the large dog space, scream and call dogs over and then when they do come over he starts screaming. This understandably upsets a lot of dogs, including mine. The mom has been politely asked to keep control of her kid and she doesn’t. Kid has in fact run up to multiple dogs and gotten right in their faces without asking their owners. Sometimes in the dog off leash area and sometimes just outside of it when dogs are still leashed and on the side walk. She seems to feel entitled to her kid running around the dog park and going up to any of the dogs. Despite being reminded its the dog park, its not a petting zoo, some dogs don’t like children and shouldn’t be required to at the dog park and the rules of the park state very clearly children must be CLOSELY supervised by an adult. Oi.

Onto the Teaser.

I want to weep, she thought. I want to be comforted. I’m so tired of being strong. I want to be foolish and frightened for once. Just for a small while, that’s all …a day … an hour …
…One day, she promised herself as she lay abed, one day she would allow herself to be less than strong.
But not today. It could not be today.
