Welcome to Teaser Tuesday, the weekly Meme that wants you to add books to your TBR, or just share what you are currently reading. It is very easy to play along:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday.
“I was tired of living someone elses life. Since childhood, I had been told what to do, how to act, who to be. I had been instructed by other peoples expectations, their demands even their unspoken judgment, the only way to be happy was to become a carbon copy of the people around me. And for many years I was okay following their footsteps. I was okay showing up to my office job, wearing the suit, playing the role, but that was the thing; I was playing a role. I wasn’t actually being my true self.” ~ The Kindness Diaries by Leon Logothetis
This sounds like there is a reckoning coming. Or some big changes at least. Interesting. 🙂
My teaser is from Wicked and the Wallflower by Sarah MacLean.
Sounds good! Here’s mine: “THE DATE”
Yeah, the narrator doesn’t sound too happy and that doesn’t seem like a good life! Awesome teaser! Here’s mine from Bayou Moon by Ilona Andrews:

That sounds very interesting. We can spend our whole lives trying to live up to other people’s expectations of us, and in the end, it does nothing to benefit us.
Mine is from a David Baldacci thriller this week: https://wp.me/p3Nz8P-2sN
I can relate. I’m featuring one of the books from The Great American Read today at Girl Who Reads
That’s a great quote. I feel bad for the narrator. Here’s mine…

Here is my teaser from Where’d You Go, Bernadette.
This does sound interesting. I hope you enjoy it. This week I am featuring A Double Life by Flynn Berry. Happy reading!
Intriguing. Sounds like changes on the horizon for the narrator. My Teaser is from an urban fantasy.
I gave up on the carbon copy thing in grade school and still occasionally end up in someone else’s suit.

Oh yes – that’s a familiar feeling… A great quote – I hope you are enjoying this one, Ambrosia. My TT this week is all about industrial unrest with a futuristic spin on it… https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2018/07/24/teaser-tuesday-24th-july-2018-brainfluffbookblog-teasertuesday/
Great teaser! I hope you are enjoying it. Happy reading! Here’s my teaser of Run And Hide by Alan McDermott.
Sounds like the narrator is heading for big changes!
My teaser is from a historical mystery, The Girl from Oto, https://www.rosecityreader.com/2018/07/teaser-tuesday-girl-from-oto-by-amy.html
Great excerpt! I think so many people today can relate to that.
