Welcome to Teaser Tuesday, the weekly Meme that wants you to add books to your TBR, or just share what you are currently reading. It is very easy to play along:
• Grab your current read</http://thepurplebooker.com/wp-admin/themes.phpem>
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday.
Happy Halloween and Happy Samhain to those who celebrate that way! One of my favorite days of the year indeed. I hope everyone has a great one.
“There is something about words. In expert hands, manipulated deftly, they take you prisoner. Wind themselves around your limbs like spider silk, and when you are so enthralled you cannot move, they pierce your skin, enter your blood, numb your thoughts. Inside you they work their magic.”
― Diane Setterfield, The Thirteenth Tale
So very true. Words are magic.
My book also touched upon the power of words as there are faeries involved and readers know that you have to be very careful whenever that is the case. An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson.
Words have so many capabilities that we just don’t really think about! Great teaser! Here’s mine from Surrender to the Highlander by Lynsay Sands:
