Caller Id Spoofing

I have been doing some research on different caller id hiders, and similar lately. I know it seems like a funny pass time but really it is mostly because of the issues with my step mom. Anyone who knows me knows that lady has made it virtually impossibly to call my dad and talk to him. Thanks to caller id. She sees it’s me calling and can just hang up the phone or ignore it. So while I was looking I found this website, I thought maybe it would be some good information for some of my other book friends out there.

For those that never heard with Caller ID Spoofing you can change what shows on the Caller ID. Spread this link www.FreeSpoofing.com as many places as you can. 123Spoof.com is now offering Free Unlimited 2 minute ad-supported Spoof Calls.

Get rid of Adult Content in the workplace.

Every business runs into the problem, no adult content allowed on the work computers. But someone always ends up accessing the content. The problem that happens than is, who reports it? Who finds it? And who has to deal with it. That answer always comes down to, you. Well, I was looking around on this topic and found this tool:

hostile work environment

SurfRecon ERT (Emergency Response Tool) will help you easily deal with this problem. Look at the website above, and get all the information you need.

Booking Through Thursday: Movie’s

Tami inspired this week’s question:
What book do you think should be made into a movie? And do you have any suggestions for the producers? Or, What book do you think should NEVER be made into a movie?

I think along the lines of some of the silly funny movies that have been out lately that the Bergdorf Blondes would make a funny movie. Not a block buster but funny.

The Boleyn Inheritance by Phillipa Gregory

The year is 1539. Henry VIII must take another wife and the dangerous prize of the crown of England is won by Anne of Cleves. Although she is fascinated by the glamour of her new surroundings, she can sense a trap closing around her.

Katherine Howard, meanwhile, is to flirt her way to the throne. But her kinswoman Jane Boleyn is haunted by the past and the Boleyn inheritance of suspicion, betrayal, and death. In this time of upheaval and uncertainty, these three young women must try to survive the most volatile court in Europe.

Phillipa Gregory does it again with this novel. The Boleyn Inheritance is a striking tale of the least known wives of Henry the VIII, Anne of Cleves and Katherine Howard. We also meet Jane Boleyn known mostly in history only for her part in seeing her husband George and her sister-in-law Anne go to the scaffolding. We follow the tale from Cleves when Anne is being selected, right on up to the scaffolding and eventually the Kings death, and the whole book will hold you spell bound.

I could hardly set this one down, and yet at parts I had to. It is so descriptive and so heart breaking you will cry for the way these women are terribly caught up in this court. Henry VIII truly was a mad man bent on his own whims, his own desires and no one ever dared tell him no, for if they did they could, and would end up dead. Watch as the body counts of those sent to the scaffold tally higher, for small crimes like simply loving a girl. And those who are the true masterminds of the plots get away from the axe man like a slippery snake in the grass.

You will shake your head at how stupid and frivolous young Katherine is as a Queen. And yet you will feel utterly horrified for her in the end she was really only a child of 16 years who could not possibly know right from wrong when she only ever did was she was told. I believe in the end the only one I did not feel sorry for was Jane Boleyn, to me she made her own bed. Through pure jealousy, ambition and self preservation, in the end she got what was coming. Though preferably no one should have died because of the whims of a selfish King, who thought he was a god. If you haven’t read this book yet, do. You will be emotionally grabbed and riveted to each and every page.

Scale Sales

Looking for a cool way to weigh your books? Don’t laugh I know a few people who are doing book challenges based on how many pound of books they weigh. Or another good thing I use food scales for, I have a cat on a special diet and have to weigh out her meat portions for her raw diet. Check out this great scale website.

Web hosting research

I have been thinking about getting a proper domain for the blog. Some catchy book title, to direct people here and get even more traffic than we have already been getting. Traffic is getting bigger, thank you readers! So it is time to start doing a little bit of research on the matter. There are SO many web hosting companies; it’s hard to know where to start. I came across this site in my search.

webhosting

They make it to easy to decide what company you want to use for hosting! They offer an easy layout to use, with easy to understand rating system. They are an independent company so you don’t have to worry about them serving the needs of one particular server.

I found it very useful for my purposes that they had everything nicely put into categories, and they also had a list of award sites from 2008. I spent a lot of time looking over the Blog hosting sites in the award section for our purposes here at Fire & Ice. So If your thinking about moving web hosts, or looking for a new one. Check out this company for some ratings information. They include consume comments, ratings, and prices from a lot of web hosts. I defiantly got all the information I needed to do proper research on my choices.

Pick My Next Give away

So I am thinking about doing another give away when the other two have run out. And I am going to turn to my readers to pick the book. Run Down to my March Reading list here. Than leave a comment on which book you would like to see me give out when I am done with it.
