Random Question: Series or stand alone which do you prefer?
This was a random question a friend asked me the other day when he noticed I have been reading more series books lately. When I have time to read that is, I am still so bad right now about finding the balance in my schedule. Anyways, I don’t pick series books over others on purpose or what seems to be on purpose for me but I do seem to be reading more. I enjoy the feeling of spending time with old friends and stories. There is something uniquely special when you get to get to know characters over the course of a series, especially if it is a long series.
As a character-driven reader I also like to read a series, but because of the little reading time I have lately I am sticking to stand alones.
Glad to see Musing Monday is back.
I agree, when the characters, the plot and the whole setting is well put together, a series can never be long enough to satisfy me! 🙂
I also don’t have a preference but I tend read a lot more stand alones.
